A vegan street food festival is coming to LondonMon 07 2017 | admin
From vegan kebabs and ‘chicken’ shops to American diners, cruelty-free fast food joints are opening up each and every weekend across the UK.
But instead of having to pick one type of cuisine when eating out, why not have them all in the same place?
Vegan street food festival Livin’ on the Veg is arriving in London in a couple of weeks, offering everything from deep-fried buffalo wings to chocolate brownie mud pies.
On Friday 18 August and Saturday 19 August you’ll be inundated with choice (for once) as a decent selection of food stalls take over King’s Cross.
Think Thai dishes, Venezuelan meals and Korean offerings – basically food from all over the place without a hint of animal cruelty.
And it’s not stingy with its portions, either; a £30 ticket (sorry, early birds are already sold out) will get you eight meals – one from each trader – and a free cocktail on entry.
‘We’ve brought together eight of the best vegan wizards out there to conjure up two days straight of vegan indulgence for everyone to enjoy,’ the festival website reads.
‘Not a mung bean or buddah bowl in sight, this one’s luring all Londoners in with deep fried buffalo wings, chocolate brownie mud pies, red Thai curry pots, chip butties and Tandoori naans (but not as you know them).
‘Enter the unknown, try them all, vote for your favourite and live on the (v)edge.’
