Dominique Ansel teams up with Shake Shack to create limited edition milkshake

Booming burger chain Shake Shack is collaborating with the man named the world’s best pastry chef for its latest limited edition shake.

Cronut creator Dominique Ansel and the Dominique Ansel Bakery London team have designed The Banoffee, which will be sold across the group’s restaurants throughout August.

It features fresh, hand-spun vanilla custard blended with caramelised bananas, dulce de leche, speculoos biscuits (those spiced shortbread ones you often get given wrapped in plastic with a coffee) and a hint of sea salt, topped with whipped cream and speculoos crumbles.

The shake is a special serve for Shake Shack’s fourth annual Great British Shake Sale, an initiative which will run throughout the month and see any customer who donates at least £2 to Action Against Hunger in store receive a voucher for a free shake — worth £5.25 — on their next visit.

It follows a similar project earlier this year in America which raised more than $630,000 for the charity.

If you want to help them raise funds this side of the Pond, you’ll just have to shake it to make it.
