From baristas to bartenders and waiters to mixologists, we are challenging all front of house staff to take on the National Waiters Day Race 2017.
There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs for the fastest waiter, waitress and team, as well as the best dressed. Make sure to sign up today and join hundreds of industry professionals in celebrating front of house careers across the food service industry.
Entry is free for students and jobseekers, or just £10 per person for professionals. All proceeds from the event will go towards Springboard’s FAB educational programme, designed to inspire and educate students about careers in front of house food and beverage roles.

The race takes place at:
Hyde Park Bandstand,
Queen Elizabeth Gate entrance
The nearest Tube station is Hyde Park Corner, Exit 1
14:00 – We will open for registrations and sponsor stand area will open.
There will be a range of stands where different sponsors will have activities all helping raise awareness of Front of House roles including a Springboard stand offering careers advice and guidance.
15:30 – Students and Career Seekers Race Begins
16:00 – Waiters Race begins – All competitors will do a short dash whilst carrying trays with a small plastic bottle of water
16:30 – We will do a prize giving announcement at the finish line where the winners of the race will be presented with their prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the following:
- Fastest Waiter
- Fastest Waitress
- Winning Team
- Best Dressed
16:30- 17:00 – Competitors, family, friends and the general public will be welcome to visit the sponsor stands and enjoy refreshments on offer.
Entry is just £10 and all proceeds go towards Springboard’s Food and Beverage (FAB) programme – a cross-curricula programme for hospitality educational resources including Maths, English and Science.
