Greek street food concept PittaBun arrives in Soho.
The team behind Michelin-starred Athens restaurant Funky Gourmet and Marylebone’s modern Greek destination OPSO delve into the fast-casual scene, bringing Greek street food to Soho.
Fitting in with its trendy neighbours in Soho, PittaBun is a sleek little space with a contemporary design and marble elements throughout. While everything is served fast-casual style on trays, these lavishly stuffed pitta buns are made using top-quality ingredients and slow-cooking methods for extra flavour.
Greek chefs Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos definitely know the way to London’s heart, transforming your usual Sunday affair into a pitta bun. Behold the Sunday Roast Lamb Bun, a pocket full of charcoaled slow-cooked lamb shoulder, feta, roasted peppers and chips. Other options include spicy chicken thighs, beef short rib and veggies, but PittaBun is seriously onto something with their sweet buns. A great contender for the city’s next big dessert trend, there’s one with chocolate brownie ice cream and cherry compote, or an apple crumble pitta filled with vanilla ice cream, roasted apples and caramel fudge sauce. We just need to figure out how to save room for both.
PittaBun offers a small selection of Greek wines and beers, alongside soft drinks.
