The founder behind catering company Social Pantry launches a new restaurant and café – Soane’s Kitchen is now open in Ealing.

Housed inside Walpole Park’s iconic Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, Soane’s Kitchen is your new luxury escape for seasonal fare. Owner Alex Head runs seven sites of Social Pantry across London, alongside her newest restaurant, Soane’s Kitchen.

The Spot:

After an extensive restoration, the grand building can be fully enjoyed once again with Soane’s Kitchen inside its original walled kitchen garden. The main dining room is as beautiful as the country house, featuring natural woods with soft colours of pinks, nudes and creams. If you can’t stay, head to “The Larder”, a casual grab-and-go section with items such as pastries and coffee.

The Food:

Offering an all-day menu with light yet satisfying dishes, Soane’s Kitchen follows suit with Social Pantry’s signature style. Options include grilled baby carrots with ricotta; bavette steak with carrot top pesto; and sea bass with confit tomatoes, though Soane’s Kitchen’s seasonal focus goes hand in hand with an ever-changing selection. The weekend brunch menu is both healthy and fun, offering options such as sweet potato pancakes, eggs benedict on a croissant, and a fish finger sandwich with pea purée.

The Drinks:

Soane’s Kitchen offers coffee, tea and most importantly, a Bloody Mary station on the weekends.

The Damage:

Dishes vary between £7 and £18; brunch costs around £8-£13.

In a Nutshell:

Aiming to use as much produce as possible from the surrounding garden, Soane’s Kitchen promises to serve freshly prepared food all day, which is likely to be just as memorable as the historic setting.
