Working at O2

Here at O2, we do retail differently. We pride ourselves on making sure we bring the very best people into our business. And because our customers are at the heart of everything we do, nowhere is this more important than in our stores.

We’re not just an inclusive employer. We also look for people with a passion for helping others. People who want to learn, who bring life into their store with their charismatic personality, and who are ready to make the most of their skills for building instant rapport with colleagues and customers.

We want everyone who works here to feel fully supported at every stage of their journey with us. So, when you join us, you’ll be able to take advantage of our fantastic induction and training that will help you settle into your new role.

Our purpose is driven by passion for connectivity, consistently delivering the most engaging personal experience and our values; brave real together, make sure win and grow together.

Brave - We work in an everchanging environment and embrace change as part of our job. There’s no limit to what we can achieve as we’re always looking for the best ideas and making sure they win.

Real – We’re open, clear and say what we mean in order to do the right things for our customers, people and the organisation.

Together - We celebrate our success and have fun whilst working collaboratively and having strong team play.

" What drives O2 are the amazing personalities and the way that we all come together every day. From Head Office to Stores we have a wide variety of fantastic people who all make O2 a great place to work. We here to make every day better. Not just for our customers, but for our people too. So whether you’re looking for ongoing career development and support, fantastic people policies and networks, or great benefits and generous rewards, we’ll help you find it. We’ll give you the freedom to make O2 your kind of place. And make plenty of friends - and memories - along the way. We’ve built a place where you’ll be trusted to do the right thing and use your judgement. It’s somewhere you'll find it easy to get things done. Others about us

I joined O2 without any experience in telecomms - and my background is in cosmetics and beauty. But, I believe that all customer experiences are about how you make the customer feel, no matter the product, and I think that’s what’s behind my success connecting with customers and providing great service in our London - The Strand LEAP Connect Store.

I work in the O2 Lisburn store in Northern Ireland, but my experience comes from working in event management. The most useful thing I brought to my role here was my organisation skills, and ability to plan a guru event and deliver the Why O2 message at super short notice. I think that leading a team means understanding that each person requires a different approach, and I’m pretty good at adapting my leadership style when it matters

My background is in the floral industry, but I definitely share some skills between working at O2 and being a florist. The most important one is the ability to create a rapport with customers from the first moment, and I know that customer relationships are built on trust. In my previous life, I helped organise large events and weddings, which means I’ve already got plenty of skills in multitasking and ‘on-the-spot’ problem solving that I can apply to shop floor leadership.”
