Working at Big Mamma Group

Truly huge, bombastic, larger-than-life, over-the-top, and generally massive in all the right places.

If you’ve already visited us, you’ve probably realized that we have a pretty good time doing what we do. And if you’ve never visited, what are you waiting for?

Big Mamma is a group of Italian restaurants founded in 2015 in Paris. With more than 9000 customers per day, unique and iconic places, authentic cuisine, 100% homemade with products imported directly from Italy, the group currently includes: 15 trattorias and the biggest food market in Europe, around France, UK and Spain. The family is still growing, and much more bubbles in the pot!

In London we have three trattorias, Gloria, Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario and a delivery brand Napoli Gang. CHE COSA ASPETTI?

" Our motto is “Go Big or Go Home”! One reason why we have succeeded so far is that we always made the ambitious choice. Big Mamma is a place where you open the door and you are in Italy. You can feel the warmth of Italy, have a great team that really take care of the customers, good vibes and a big smile. We work very hard to make this possible. Every time we make a restaurant it is all about breaking new ground. But we must not forget why it is working. It is working because we are having fun."

Others about us

The name of the company came from my wife. We were really struggling with what to call the company, and she said: “You guys are trying to recreate a very homely, comforting, generous, self-indulgent place”. I would always say it was an “antidepressant place — we are building restaurants that are an antidote to the Sunday blues.” To us, this felt very “Mamma”. The “big” part came from our ambition. We always wanted to do things bigger, crazier, with wilder ambition. “Big Mamma” seemed to say just that.
