Working at Wagamama

our story:

‘kaizen’, meaning ‘good change’ is the philosophy that sits right at our heart. it shapes every dish we create, and pushes us to find better ways in all that we do. we’re restless spirits. forever creating and making things better

we’ve been practising kaizen since 1992, when we opened our first doors in london’s bloomsbury. inspired by fast-paced, japanese ramen bars and a celebration of asian food, wagamama burst into life. we set out to create a unique way of eating. bringing the fresh, nourishing, flavours of asia to all

that was over 25 years ago now. two whole decades to sharpen skills and refine recipes. to play with spices and discover tastes. we continue to get better with every day

our food:

a little ginger to warm you up. chillies that kick. noodles to nourish the body and soul. our asian inspired menu has been created to soothe, nourish, sustain and inspire. pick from all kinds of rice and noodle dishes, alongside fresh salads and shareable sides. there are desserts, fresh juices, hot drinks, wine, sake and expertly crafted asian beers too

in the name of kaizen, our standards are high. our ingredients are cooked fresh, served fresh. every bowl and plate that we fill with them is served as soon as it’s ready. the colours and aromas, flavours and spices are always at their best when they touch your table

a warming bowl of bold ramen. teppan griddled to perfection. or if you would rather rice, you’re in luck - our menu features many japanese favourites. fresh, authentic menus that are updated seasonally. wagamama is a staple of modern asian cuisine

we want to be as good a place to work as we are a place to eat. behind every great wagamama experience are our great wagamama people. our food is authentic and our people are real. some people call it diversity.......we call it be you. be wagamama

our values:

zig when others zag
At wagamama we don’t conform, and neither do our people. diverse and alternative, but united by one thing – bravery. this challenger and independent spirit is in our dna, it’s who we are

it has to be fresh
we bring fresh into everything we do; the food we serve, the partners in our supply chain, how we work, and the way we think. it is something we never compromise on

kaizen at our heart
each day we strive for better. becoming masters of our craft. we take pride in what we do, every day, for the benefit of others. it’s alive in our kitchens, our service, our people, our dishes

we’ve got each other’s back
we believe in teamship. that working together means building close bonds of trust and support. This creates a safe sanctuary where we can be ourselves, and win together as a team

" what does it mean to be wagamama? it means diversity, individuality and the freedom to be you. it means having the confidence to express yourself, but best of all it means being a part of something special we come from all kinds of backgrounds. we share all kinds of interests. but there’s one thing that unites us all-it’s a love of our delicious fresh food and our commitment to spreading positivity from bowl to soul wagamama is more than a job, it’s a way of life! ‘kaizen’, meaning ‘good change’ is the philosophy that sits right at our heart and pushes us to find better ways in all that we do we share all kinds of interests, but there’s one thing that connects us – a love of great food cooked with the freshest ingredients behind every great wagamama experience are great wagamama people. people who are never afraid to speak up. never afraid to be different"
