Inspired by the elegance of Europe’s Grand cafés, Bellanger opened its doors in 2015. Located on Islington Green, its original Victorian detailing, including high ceilings and ornate cornicing, form a natural backdrop to classic French red leather brasserie banquette seating, dark wood panelling, hung artwork and antique brass details.

Latterly, Bellanger’s French sensibility has evolved to take in a softly Mediterranean feel. Traditional brasserie interiors have been enhanced by a new generous lateral layout and lively bar, plus an art deco-inspired private dining room, while on the menu, firm favourites share space with a selection of seasonal dishes that evoke the flavours of southern Europe.
