When I was made redundant earlier this year I decided to take my time and find a company that shared my values. Then I found The Loungers and it has changed everything! Every business has its challenges but the people you work with, and for, make the difference. From the very start it was clear that the company really focuses on its employees – from the recruitment process to my training and beyond, I’ve been with great people every step of the way. Senior managers take a genuine interest in your development and the “hands-on” approach from them when needed is something I’d never experienced before, not to mention how our area pulls together to help each other whenever needed. I’ve been at Morello Lounge for eight months now. It’s been challenging at times, but we’ve made a successful start, and I am very proud of my Lounge. We’re one big Loungers family, and I couldn’t be happier!

I have worked for Lounges now for coming up to 18 months and have enjoyed my time with them, it’s been hard work opening a new lounge and all that comes with it, but also it is also so rewarding to see my team grow and develop and be recognized for all the hard work they all put in. Every day brings something new so there is always a new challenge to face, I feel valued and respected by my managers which means I can be open and honest with them about the goings on and never feel like I’m going to be put down for making a mistake or just another number.
