Working at Cosy Club

Loungers is a substantial and growing operator in the UK hospitality sector. As of October 2022, Loungers operates 206 sites in England and Wales across two distinct but complementary brands, Lounge and Cosy Club.

Cosy Clubs are gloriously different. Think ‘mansion splendour meets village hall eccentricity’. Cosy Clubs fit into city centres and large market towns, and have separate bar and dining areas creating a dynamic offering – from the classic cocktail at the bar to table service and reservations. The Cosy Club has a premium food and drink offering but still with a strong value-for-money ethos.

You will find Cosy Clubs in period buildings or buildings of particular note and have eccentric and playful interiors, and unashamedly celebrate all-things Blighty!

" Loungers is built on its people and their ability to create amazing experiences for our guests in all of our 200+ Lounges and Cosy Clubs. Our people have passion, personality, and whole load of love for what they do and the community they work in. Being part of Loungers gives you access to loads of development opportunities, exciting activities and to be yourself!"

Others about us

When I was made redundant earlier this year I decided to take my time and find a company that shared my values. Then I found The Loungers and it has changed everything! Every business has its challenges but the people you work with, and for, make the difference. From the very start it was clear that the company really focuses on its employees – from the recruitment process to my training and beyond, I’ve been with great people every step of the way. Senior managers take a genuine interest in your development and the “hands-on” approach from them when needed is something I’d never experienced before, not to mention how our area pulls together to help each other whenever needed. I’ve been at Morello Lounge for eight months now. It’s been challenging at times, but we’ve made a successful start, and I am very proud of my Lounge. We’re one big Loungers family, and I couldn’t be happier!

I have worked for Lounges now for coming up to 18 months and have enjoyed my time with them, it’s been hard work opening a new lounge and all that comes with it, but also it is also so rewarding to see my team grow and develop and be recognized for all the hard work they all put in. Every day brings something new so there is always a new challenge to face, I feel valued and respected by my managers which means I can be open and honest with them about the goings on and never feel like I’m going to be put down for making a mistake or just another number.

I started my Loungers journey around 3 years ago now, starting as a front of house team member and working my way up to now, being a General Manager. Loungers are a great company to work for, they see potential in young individuals, and utilise them to the best of their abilities. The avenues that I have been able to go down are incredible, from opening multiple new lounges, training days in Bristol, supporting the area, to now running my own lounge. In my eyes, my journey has just begun. It’s a career, not just a job.
