Working at HB Leisure

HB Leisure (HBL) is the world's leading attraction partner for skill games and amusements across the globe. Established in 1927, HBL operates in 15 countries and employs approximately 1500 people during peak season.

Working with some of the most well-known and respected organisations in the theme park, visitor attraction and leisure sectors, we partner to provide best in class skill games line-ups that enhance the guest experience, increase dwell time and build in-attraction spend.

" When I look back at the how the company has developed since the early days when I took over from my grandfather it seems scarcely believable. This year we will be comfortably 200 times the size that we were back in 1987, and still growing. All the progress of course has been down to a fantastic team and to delivering a great product for our customers."
Tim Batstone, Chairman, HB Leisure

Others about us

I started with HBL in 2016 at Movie Park in Germany it was a seasonal job via a ‘friend referral’. I worked my way up to be a site manager before relocating to the HBL central office in North Wales. I currently work in the Purchasing Department as a Purchasing Controller where I get to use my experience on the ground to forecast and order stock across the UK and Europe. This is an ideal role for me, and has taken me around the world including a trip to Vegas in 2019. I really enjoy the close-knit team we have and the opportunities to progress relatively quickly within the company.

I joined HB Leisure because it was an international company based close to where I live after returning to North Wales after studying for my Accounting & Finance degree. HBL has a training scheme which means I can be sponsored and mentored through my exams to become a qualified accountant. My role as a Assistant Accountant is busy and varied and gives me great opportunity to learn and progress whilst dealing with a wages and invoices globally.

I started working for HBL in 2014 as a part-time Games Operator in Movie Park whilst studying. After my first season I was promoted to Games Supervisor and have since progressed to becoming a Games Manager. During the winter season I work at Global Village in Dubai, and at Europa Park in Germany during the summer. I work in two amazing teams and get to meet lots of fantastic people and experience many cultures and countries - I’m so glad my summer job became a career!
